The East Hampton Housing Authority is currently evaluating proposals to develop up to 60 rental homes at 776 & 780 East Hampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike in East Hampton Town, just south of Sag Harbor Village. The Town generously donated 6.4 acres to the Housing Authority valued at over $4M toward the project. The Town also contributed $1.5M from the Community Housing Fund for pre-development
The Town purchased two lots on 114 and donated the vacant 6.4 acres to the Housing Authority to construct rental homes for households with incomes up to 130%AMI. The properties were valued at over $4M.
The Town also contributed $1.5M from the Community Housing Fund (CHF) for pre-development of the site. Town applied for and was awarded Empire State Development funding to conduct Market, Traffic, & Feasibility Studies through the NYS Long Island Forward Housing Program.
